Network Engineer:

looks for the Network Engineer in San Jose, CA, to handle the entire life cycle of wireless network from design to support; details: 

Job title: Network Engineer

Job duties: Design network and computer security measures by gathering statistics and data using the network, servers, types of computers, and networking devices. Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to gain connectivity of major sites, smaller locations, and remote users, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Configure network to ensure the stability of the access points, servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, patch panels and other hardware such as work station, CCTV, Door access system, VOIP, via multiple platforms and IP protocols. Set up LAN network and use bridges, switches and hubs to segment network traffic for large network and avoid bottle neck. Set up the SNMP management protocol using the UDP protocol from the TCPIP protocol suite to allow employees to monitor, inspect and alter networking function from remote management station. Operate internal data communications systems and VPN (virtual private network) for files sharing and corporate intranet remote access. Customize the HTTP browser protocols and use web browsers to act as management tools. Research and recommend data communications and all equipment such as work station, operating system, types of cables used for the part of the network and accommodate both current existing equipment and future expansion. Set up RMON probes to gather and control network management information and use the probes to examine Ethernet statistics, historical statistics, thresholds and alarms, host statistics, and set up control parameters for data collection. Monitor, support and test network performance and plan and coordinate with software and network update.  Perform server and security audits. Conduct project planning, customize the ideal network according to the clients’ need, company size, and future expansion. Provide training on software and programs and oversee factors affecting the design and implementation of the network.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and two years of experience in network and computer security, including entire life cycle of configuration of enterprise wireless network from design to support and the scalability of the network, maintain WAN/LAN with monitoring tools of PRTG and Splunk, test tools and protocols of  SNMP, HTTP, TLS, Fidler, Sandboxing, VDL, Wireshark, BGP, OSPF.
